Maya is an adult ST/Terrier mix who was rescued in Kentucky. She was emaciated and was full of worms. She was brought to New Beginnings and was also found to have a diaphragmatic hernia, which results in her intestines migrating into her chest, causing her breathing to be labored. Maya will need surgery to correct this problem. The estimate on the cost of her surgery is $2000 to $2400. She will see the specialist on 6/26/08 for her surgical consultation. She will then be on her way to recovery. Maya will be an excellent family dog. She is sweet and very affectionate. She is already housetrained and would love to have a forever family of her own.
