Sasha is adopted! Two weeks ago, I took Sasha to meet Stacey and Chad O. in Fargo, and they fell head over heels. Once Sasha was spayed, they became her proud new parents. I miss the little stinker but it certainly sounds as if she's in loving hands...and not too far to visit!

Note from Sasha's new mom, Stacey:
Hi! All is well here. Just took Sasha into Petco today to be groomed--she looks like a totally different dog! I miss her wild and crazy hair, but she really needed a summer cut!
We went to the lake this past weekend and Sasha absolutely LOVED it!!! She loves to ride on the pontoon and chase dragonflies around the yard. She is such a good little girl, even though she is spoiled already!
Update: Sasha now has a new sister: Carley:
From Stacey:
Hi everyone! I have enclosed pictures of Carley, our newest addition to the family! Carley is a cairn terrier that we found at a rescue group in Detroit Lakes. She was brought there when the neighbors complained that there was a dog with puppies living outside. So she was rescued from the low-income household that had 12 other dogs (plus her 5 puppies!). I sure hope those other dogs found good homes too! Carley is a very friendly little wiggle-butt, and we are happy to have her living with us!
Sasha's not quite sure what to think yet, she's a little jealous that she has to share mommy's lap with a newbie. It might take a couple weeks, but I'm sure they will become fast friends!
That's right, Catcher is with his forever family! Cathy and her husband, Frank, couldn't be more sweeter. Mick and I pulled up beside them, and even before we could actually stop our vehicle, they were getting out of their car, trying to peek into our windows! You could hear Cathy asking Frank 'Do you see him, do you see him???'
I quickly called Joanne so she could be part of this, and handed the phone to Cathy even before I brought Catcher out to meet them.
Joanne is right, when she said Cathy was crying. She was instantly in love! Frank had the biggest smile, and tried to contain his excitement, but it wasn't long before they both showed how happy their were. (Like you wouldn't have noticed when they came out of their car!)
Cather greeted them, by standing on his hind legs, looking up at Cathy and giving her kisses.
As soon as Joanne and Cathy ended their conversation, Catcher was in her arms, with Frank right beside them. Catcher nestled in, and gave a little.
All three of them just seemed to fit together, as if it had always been. It was truly amazing!
It was also difficult to leave them. Again, Cathy and Frank are the nicest ppl ever. They are delightful, give you the impression of being old friends, and on and on and on! DELIGHTFUL!
Joanne - GREAT MATCH!!!
Special Note: Tammy and Maxine were beloved fosters of Nick and Robin Lloyd, NBSTR volunteers extraordinaire. Robin passed away unexpectedly in October of 2007, but we all continue to feel her presence in our rescue...her guiding spirit and loving support...and never more so than the wonderful adoption of these two girls that Robin sacrificed for in order to foster them in the first place.
